Being around business and understanding business is two different things.

When I was about 12 or 13 years old, my Mom came home from work & said "I'm never going to work for anyone else again, I'm starting my own business"! I was excited for my mom because I believe she was the only business owner in her immediate family but I never thought to ask her "Do you have a Plan"? Of course as a young child, this kind of question never crossed my mind. She was so ambitious and still owns her business 20 years later, but she needed an "Action Plan". Going from point A to point D means planning, positioning, and preparing. There were times as a young girl where all I seen was struggle but my mom always made a way for us. She always came up with the most unique ideas and often times she put us to work lol. There were times where we had to continue to move from home to home, or we struggled so bad until we knew when it was going to happen but we never lacked because she always made a way and I am grateful for that. Her passion was what kept me and my sisters a float. I always knew "Business Ownership "or "Entrepreneur" was in my DNA but I never wanted to struggle or sacrifice the things my mom did growing up. I didn't want to just say "I am a Business Owner" with a hustler mentality so I knew then that I would have to find a business mentor early on or invest in a Business Coach, if I ever wanted to make it in the business world. Knowing the difference between having a profitable business and just making ends meet was a research project that I intended on passing. My mother was a 'hustler' because she had mouths to feed but never learned what it meant to become a 'Business Owner'...Please understand the difference.
Def.
HUSTLER : An aggressively enterprising person; a go-getter.
BUSINESS OWNER : Individuals who establish and operate an entity that is engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities with the purpose of deriving profits from its successful operations.
So a hustler is one person gaining, A Business Owner is multiple people gaining from a business structure (i.e. Corporation). Don't get me wrong you can be a one person business but it's when you began to think about others winning , you become a corporation!
Creating systems for others to gain is the goal. You want your businesses to work without you physically being there! That is called residual income. So by no means am I bashing my Mom , she raised 4 wonderful kids as a single parent and a business woman but she taught me a valuable lesson, not to make the same mistakes by doing everything myself but investing and creating a team.
*So I want you to start thinking what are your pain points when it comes to owning a business?
*How can your business function without you?
*Are you a 'Hustler' or do you run a profitable 'Business'?
